Although winter in Karachi is not as harsh as most other places in the country, it does get a little troubling for few days in December and January. That’s when the jackets and sweaters come out and people are seen rubbing their hands whenever they are in the outdoors.
Last year, during the first week of January it got pretty cold. I remember that because I got married during those days and it was freezing cold during the wedding ceremonies. This year, it gets a bit chily after sunset and December has just started. It seems like it is going to be even colder this time.
Personally, I like winter season because that’s when you can wear all those leather jackets and sweat shirts and I really love winter clothings. I’ve always wanted to live in a place where I could wear all those winter apparel sold by the brands. Alas, Karachi is not that place. It gets really cold here only for a week or so and even that is not cold enough to completely wrap yourself up.
But with all that environment change going in the world, who knows we might see snowing in Karachi in few years. What do you think?

You are right, winter is not that cold in Karachi. I have lived in areas where it is too cold during peak days of season. This is my second winter season here in Karachi and I feels all my clothing of winter is useless here.
haha… true that
Hate winters…I think I have written it elsewhere also…I would rather sweat and eat mangoes than feel dry and cold….
