People will stop travelling if airline systems go on Windows, atleast people who 'know' Windows!

I've seen a Windows error message when I was at a NADRA kiosk in Karachi trying to pay by bills through it.

At my university, just yesterday National Instruments were having a seminar when someone asked them how reliable will this thing perform on a Windows OS. The answer was "as reliable as Windows." And everyone burst into laughter.

I know airlines run linux behind their in-flight entertainment systems. Once, on a trip from Karachi to Islamabad, my in-flight entertainment thing crashed and second, on a transatlantic flight, that thing froze (I had to ask the flight-attendants to reset it to get it working again). Of course, the geek in me first tried to figure out a way of doing Ctrl-Alt-Del :P
