Few months ago I spotted Linux operating system being booted on the display screens of an airplane. Recently I was at the newly constructed Terminal 3 of Dubai airport, and spotted this error message on a display screen. The dialog box obviously looks like that of a Windows operating system.
I not being judgmental, but being associated with IT industry and familiar with the shortcomings of Windows operating system, this error message on a display screen of one of the best airports of the world brought a sarcastic smile on my face, and I couldn’t resist taking a picture of it.
Have you noticed any such OS error messages on display screens at public places?

I can’t agree more with you…
Windows OS crashes are more frequent than Linux Ones. Hail to Linux OS…
I know airlines run linux behind their in-flight entertainment systems. Once, on a trip from Karachi to Islamabad, my in-flight entertainment thing crashed and second, on a transatlantic flight, that thing froze (I had to ask the flight-attendants to reset it to get it working again). Of course, the geek in me first tried to figure out a way of doing Ctrl-Alt-Del
People will stop travelling if airline systems go on Windows, atleast people who ‘know’ Windows!
I’ve seen a Windows error message when I was at a NADRA kiosk in Karachi trying to pay by bills through it.
At my university, just yesterday National Instruments were having a seminar when someone asked them how reliable will this thing perform on a Windows OS. The answer was “as reliable as Windows.” And everyone burst into laughter.
If the Aircraft avionics did calculations on Windows what would happen if it crashed!!!
