As you all know, I have road test on Sunday, April 27. If I pass the road test I will get the UAE driver’s license which will enable me to purchase a car and finally be able to get the most of life in Dubai.
If I didn’t pass I will have to wait another month for 2nd attempt and take 7 driving classes. Utter waste of time and money. Not to mention all the hassle of moving around in Dubai without your own conveyance.
As a recap, it is very hard to pass the road test in Dubai. The examiners are very strict and fail you for minor mistakes. You have to be perfect to pass it. I know many people who have been unable to pass the road test after 4 attempts so far. At the same time, I know a few people who have passed the road test on first attempt. So it’s not totally impossible. If they can do it, I can do it too. I consider myself a good driver with over 15 years of experience.
So what do you think? Answer at the poll below.
Will Umar pass the road test on first attempt?
- Yes (58%, 7 Votes)
- No (42%, 5 Votes)
Total Voters: 12
Needless to say, we will all find out the actual outcome on Sunday.

All the best dude!
hmmmm its sunday today !
And Im still wiating for the call
DRIVING LICENCE in UAE is just like meeting GOD.After investing lot of money you dont get licence because of the difference of openion beetwin RTA Examiners. They do partiality between indian and Other Nationalites.
RTA is Worst while conducting Road Test.
I ask only One Question : Can RTA Dubai can gurrantee that once they Certify any peoson clear fo Licence the he will not meet Accidents.
I do agree that obe should be good driver but i also agree One cannot be Perfect. Even RTA peole can’t.
I think 45-50 classes are enough to make one person a good driver in Dubai.
Dubai Driving institute are not a service provider rather they are doing their own business.Highter the fail in the road test hight the profit for the DRIVING INSTITITE AND RTA. As per my experience most of students who are getting unsucess more than 5 times.. I felt, The sucess is depends upon the moode of exminer. RTA cant control it… People specially from INDIA, PAKISHTA, NEPAL, BANGALADESH,are more difficult to get the license from emirates. They are looking hte personnality, color discrimination etc…
