A reader asked if Dubai boom will ever end.
One fact that always holds true is that nothing lasts forever. Some things last longer than others but everything eventually comes to an end.
So, yes, Dubai boom will end, sooner or later. It’s only a matter of time.
What is to be seen is how it will end.
Disregarding the possibility of a natural disaster (for arguments sake), two things can happen.
In a few years time, major projects being developed in Dubai will be completed. In the mean time, Dubai government and planning agencies will figure out the solution to problems like traffic, rising cost of housing, sewage treatment, lack of public transport, internet censorship, and so on. That’s when Dubai will settle down and it will be normal city like New York, Chicago, Tokyo, and London, although much more attractive to tourists.
Or,
Due to extremely rapid construction and development and increase in population, the city will run out of resources to handle the load. This will result in chaos, the infrastructure will break down, and people will start leaving the city, until the time when there are enough people left for resources available in the city. That’s when Dubai will settle down and it will be normal city like New York, Chicago, Tokyo, and London, not sure if tourists will still come to Dubai or not.
So Dubai will settle down one way or other, and I really wish it settles down in a graceful manner.
Sustainability is the key.
Here’s hoping that all will go well in Dubai in the long run, the authorities will be able to control the growth and make sufficient arrangements for power, water, fuel, food, roads, transport, price control and whatever is required to lead a peaceful life in a metropolitan city.
Do you think they have “sufficient arrangements for power, water, fuel, food, roads, transport, price control ” in cities like like “New York, Chicago, Tokyo, and London”? …
none of the cities are perfect… but in dubai these are big problems might be the reason of downfall of dubai

I think this boom will end in a massive ecological disaster, as you can see they these nut jobs are building artificial islands off the coast, which is bad for marine life, as well as the eco-system on this planet. None of the cities that you mentioned above have these type of idiotic fantasies.
It is always for the good of mankind that when one city has saturated, build new cities and at a reasonable distance from each other so as to avoid the ecological impact as well as a balanced use of resources.

P.S. I am not a psychotic environmental activist, I am just playing my part in asking people to benefit from the resources of this planet carefully.

Currently Dubai is facing a lot economical problems in which Dubai Real Estate Crash is one of them.
The Dubai boom can come to end to end but it will take long for it the reason is that the rapid developments and projects which are being started in Dubai. So i don't think that it will come to end it will get stable at a certain point according to me.
Dubai boom can't come to end according to me because the projects which Dubai is introducing are really attractive and catching the attraction of every businessman towards Dubai and they are bringing their invest as well so the Boom is not gonna end it will take ages.
I don't think so! For each and every country there will be some disaster in their economy but they never comes to and end like that currently Dubai is under economy crisis; but am sure it will over come the crisis.
