Ather is interested to know more about my past. So here goes.
I did my bachelors in computer science from University at Buffalo, State University of New York. It was an amazing school, huge and full of diversity. I wish I had done all of my undergrad studies from there instead of transfering.
I did my MS in computer science from University of Texas at Dallas. Moving from Buffalo to Dallas was an interesting experience. Although the school was small, but the city was big, so things got balanced out.

so which school you had to transfer for your bachelors??
Went self-financed or earned a scholarship
okaaaaaaaaaaaaaay….whats going on….but interesting….so yeah ….self finance or scholarship??
Umar, thanks… once again! Your blog is your biography.
That sounds great Umer bhai! I am planning to go the US next year for my Masters (and possibly PhD) too! Wish me luck!
asma and hira: no I did not earn an scholarship… I was partly supported by parents and partly by working part-time.
also, I transfered from FAST Institute. At that time NUCES was just conceived and we were affiliated with University of Karachi.
I am planning to go the US after 2 year for my Masters (and possibly double masters) too! Wish me luck!
