It’s getting pretty tough to live in Karachi these days, or Pakistan for that matter. And it hurts me to the core.
Initially it was just security issue, law and order situation, fear of uknown, bomb blasts, snatching and so on. Now it’s getting worse. TV channels are not allowed to freely broadcast the truth. They are not allowed to cover the events live. Websites are being blocked. Books are being banned. All of that on top of insecurity. Now you are not safe and you cannot even talk about it.
Where are we getting to? What’s going to happen next? What are we leaving for the next generation? What motivation would they have to live in a country full of stoppages?
If our current rulers really care about the future of this nation, they must change their ways. Otherwise, few years from now, more people will be fleeing this city and this country than ever before.
