December 2 is celebrated as National Day in UAE. It’s a public holiday. However the day is spent in usual UAE style celebrations throughout the country. There are parades, fireworks, and other activities.
Today a fireworks display is planned at Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. It is being claimed that these fireworks will outshine the one at the Atlantis.
I believe UAE has come a long way in 37 years of independence. Supported by oil resources, the country is taken full advantage of the revenue generated by oil and invested in infrastructure, tourism, and trade. It has not removed all the flaws and shortcomings in its policies yet, but I am sure it will get there in few years.
So congratulation to the government and people of UAE on 37th anniversary of National Day.
