There was a time when twitter was blocked in UAE for reasons I still can’t understand. But then it was unblocked which resulted in mass adoption of twitter by netizens of the nation.

In case you are not yet familiar with twitter phenomenon then you can get introduced by this video here. The only thing I want to add to that introduction is that twitter is now much more than answering the “what are you doing?” question. It is being used to share links, pictures, videos, and anything that can be shared. It’s also a highly effective platform for online marketing. It compliments the existing social networking engines in more ways then we can think of. Twitter rocks!
