There are somethings that you can never have, no matter how hard you try. It’s not that you can’t have them. It’s just that you are not designed to have those things. Your lifestyle doesn’t match it. You don’t have that kind of background. You want to do something but you can’t because people around you are not used to it. They are against it. You feel selfish doing something by hurting others. And then you compromise. And stick to what you have been doing forever and take that urge to change things out of your mind. Until it strikes you again at some random point in life and then maybe things around you are different, people have changed, so you try to give it another shot. If it works, good, otherwise you had nothing to lose at first place. Truth is, out of 100 things that you plan, if you achieve half of them you can consider yourself successful because other half you have to give up because of family, friends, religion, lifestyle, background, and so many other limitations.

hi there umar.
came across your blog some time ago and while checking the archives today, i happened to listen to your audioblog. beautiful piece of poetry.
i googled for it and seem to have found it, but who is it by? One of the lines says ‘razi’ but i have no idea who that might be.
my apologies for the comment being tangential to your post. but i just felt like writing in.
Kay.
kay, i’ve had that poem with me for years. I really don’t remember how wrote it. I’ll certainly let you know if and when I find the information.
