I have a graduate degree from US. I hold a US driver’s license. I have lived, studied and worked for four years in the US.
I was under the impression that I will have slight advantage over others in settling down in Dubai as US citizens are favored the most here.
I am not a US citizen, but I am the next best thing.
Did my US background work for me? Did any of that favored me in getting things done in Dubai?
I will talk about it in detail in my next few posts.

If u have US driving license then u don’t need UAE driving License!
Correct?
Wrong, you need UAE license no matter who you are.
u need a driving license if u have a license of US ..US expereince helps you to get a good job in dubai but not help in great deal to settle down here…everyone goes throush same phase of home hunting, getting driving license, progress in career ..if u have US passport then it might help.
anyways waiting for your next post abt US factor
I think you still need to go through some procedure…
having a foreign passport gets you on a different payscale…thats for sure…and a good candidate for the top spots in an organization….
UTP, you are absolutely right, but there are additional benefits as well.
What are other benefits of being US citizen in UAE beside visitor visa and driving for three months on US license?
