The Ramazan factor
Image via Wikipedia The month of Ramazan started on 1st of September and since then things are a bit different in Dubai. The biggest effect has been on traffic. With variation in office hours and malls opening till late night, there is always a rush-hour on the streets. So whenever you go out you are bound be stuck in traffic, doubling and tripling your commute time.
On top of that, the office hours are reduced by three hours in my office (as it happens in most Muslim countries during Ramazan). So now there is more work to do in less time. As a result I am still sitting in office one hour beyond the official working hours.
Add that too the sleepless nights due to the baby, and I find myself always late, sleepy, overworked, hungry, and confused.
One thing that is being effected the most is my blog. I haven’t been able to make any significant postings for a long time.
I am working hard to get out of this situation. There is a lot I want to talk about.
It’s only a matter of time.
