movie-review

The last samurai: first impressions

another war movie.

or another war movie with tom cruise.

or perhaps another war movie with tom cruise trying to win an oscar.

the movie was a little conflicting with the concept of samurais in general.

weren’t samurais lone warriors serving the emperor, and not tribal leaders.

its kind of ironic that emperor rejected the western influence in late 19th century and how badly japanese youth is influenced by the west today.

which reminds me, japanese girls have a certain element of cuteness in them.

which is kind of missing in chinese girls.

if you can tell the difference between the two, that is.

or even if you can tell the difference between japanese, chinese, korean, thai, and (insert a country name located between china and japan) girls.

back to the movie.

tom cruise needs to be in a movie in which he could prove his acting skills in order to win an oscar.

if he wants to win an oscar, that is

he didnt do it in the last samurai.

but i know he can do it.

he has done it before.

take magnolia, for example.

he was nominated for best supporting actor.

which was his last oscar nomination, by the way.

lets see how he does in his next movie.
