Sights and Sounds

Streets of Paris

During my trip to Europe last month, I also got a chance to visit Paris. My stay in Paris was for 36-hours only. As they say, you learn the most about a city by walking in her streets. So I followed this advice and explored the city by walking in the streets of Paris as much as my feet allowed me.

Whatever Paris I could explore during my short stay in the city, I found the city to be very artistic. That’s the only word I can think of to describe the city. It’s not a modern city in terms of architecture. Most buildings (at least in the part I explored) are pretty old with traditional look with those famous Parisian windows and balconies that you see in pictures and moves. The streets are full of art galleries, museums, music shops, and of course, French bakeries (not to mention bars). Even though the shopping places close at 8, the restaurants and cafes are open until late night and they are packed until the closing time. One cannot be bored in Paris considering all the art and history and theater and music that the city has to offer.

Below are some pictures that I took while wandering in the streets of Paris.

Enjoy.
