SpaceShip One

The era of commercial space travel has started with launch of first private manned aircraft beyond the earth’s atmosphere. Though first commercial flight is still only a vision, the future looks very promising. My guess is that first commercial flight will launch around the year 2010. It will take about 50 passengers to the edge of earth’s atmosphere, somewhere around 65 miles above the earth’s surface, and return. The two to three hour flight will cost in the viscinity of $10,000.

This also proves that private engineers are as good as airforce and NASA engineers, if not better.
