Real

Keeping it real is what matters in today’s world. We are going through an era of information overload. Turn on the TV and you have more than 100 channels. Internet is full of opinionated web sites and blogs. Everyone you meet has something to say about everything that’s happening around us. It’s very easy to get influenced from one of these sources and forget about the real you. Most of the time people are just repeating what they saw on TV without putting any thought of their own into it. Everything seems so artificial, so plastic. Nothing is real these days.

In order to stand out, you have to keep it real. You have to stop for a moment and analyze the information that you are getting. Does it make sense? Is it in accordance with the norms? Does it suit your personality? Does it match your style? Should you just blindly follow what’s being propagated to you? Is it worth it? I didn’t think so. I don’t take everything thrown at me for granted. I roll it over and look at it from all sides. Only then I become an advocate for the new idea. Not because I watched it somewhere on TV, but because I believe in it. And that’s the real side of me.

    i agree-
i also think that a lot of people abroad need to “keep it real” because how the media reports it is NOT how it actually is. so much gets sensationalized that one gets easily misled. evenb though may 12 was a sad day in the political history of pakistan, the way people called up from abraod , one would think we were at war. “keep it real” people. we are a lot better off, thankfully than some of the ravage countries today are being put through.

Agreed to the full. In fact I just realized how I have been just repeating what I read or saw on TV with people without even thinking if that makes sense or something….Just while trying to pick up a conversation….thats not me at all…

I have always had an opinion of myself…pondering…over it…Thanks…
