Image via Wikipedia By the time you are reading this I should be in Qatar on a business trip. This trip is rather quick as I was scheduled to fly out of Dubai in the morning and return by night.
The check-in at the airport was pretty quick today. It took me less than 15 minutes from the curb to the gate. That’s mainly because it wasn’t too crowded otherwise I have waited for over hour and a half in the check-in line at the same airport.
Qatar is another emerging destination in the middle east that rivals Dubai in some aspects. The economy is largely based on oil and gas, but following the footsteps of other middle eastern countries the rulers of Qatar are trying to move away from this dependence on oil and develop other sources of income.
It’s sad I will be there for only a few hours and not be able to explore the city of Doha in greater detail.
Doha’s a great place to be. You oughta check it out whenever you got some time
