Poll: How do you connect to the internet

With PTCL offering dialup internet to all its landline customers, it has become even easier for everyone to cruise the information super highway, although not at cruising speeds, but then again, considering the state of highways in Pakistan, something is better than nothing.

In the meanwhile, work is in progress towards making the broadband internet available to the home users as well. PTCL is just one player in this field, and although its performance has been controversial, but again, it’s much better than nothing. So I stay optimistic and keep my fingers crossed.

And this brings us to this week’s poll.

I am interested in knowing how my readers access the internet. If you access the internet mostly at work, is it through a broadband or dialup connection? If you surf from home, what kind of connection do you have?

For clarification, although broadband connection is a very vague term and its exact definition is not established, it is generally defined as connection speed higher than dialup. So if you have DSL, cable, or any other form of connectivity that lets you browse the internet faster than dialup, you can call it broadband.

You don’t have to be in Pakistan to participate in this poll. Its open for all my readers.

The poll is on the right side bar on my blog. Thanks for participating.

Feel free to leave comments if you have any. The poll will expire at mid night on October 22, 2007.
