when i say i want to have a quality photo log, this is what i mean. even though photography is my newest passion, i hardly get any time for it. if you’ve ever been a full time student and involved in a million different things you know what i am talking about.
my newest love is sepia photography. not color, not black & white, but sepia. there is just something about sepia pictures that make them awesome. even a mediocre shot looks much more artistic in sepia mode. i have to figure out how to convert color pictures into sepia. i don’t want to take pictures directly in sepia mode, cuz they might look more interesting in color.
what i really want to do in a photo log is to post the pictures of different areas of the city. the areas that are very commonly visited by the people and are usually taken for granted, but no one notices the place the way a photographer would. or shoot one location of the city repeatedly over a period of time and observe how the place looks like through the time.
and i dont think all the pictures in a photo log should be of professional quality, even though that’s what i’ve been doing so far but it will change soon. a collection of casual and candid shots would make an excellent photo log in my opinion. but for that you have to have a camera with you at all times. and the only way thats possible is when the camera is small enough to fit in the pocket.
