The second Mars rover Opportunity has successfully landed on Mars and is sending data and photographs to mission control on Earth. This is really a historical event and I am proud to be alive in this time. Provided we don’t blow ourselves up, here are my predictions on Mars exploration.
By 2020 we’ll send a manned mission to Mars.
By 2050 we’ll have a Mars Base.
By 2100, if life on Mars is proven to be possible and feasible, we shall be starting to populate one of our first Mars colonies.
I won’t be around that long to witness all that, but I am sure next 100 years will see more progress then we have seen in last 500 years. Go future!!
