Previous polls about amount of time spent on the internet and number of blogs read were an attempt to find out what kind of life people in my niche are living. I got interesting results.
While scrutinizing my life under those observations, I realized that the more time I spend on the internet, the more blogs I read, the less time I have for more humanly tasks such as sports and exercise.
I also learnt that most of my information sources I am addicted to have no significance in my life, and it would make no difference even if I didn’t read all those blogs.
So I have decided to eliminate the noise from my life, and focus on the essentials.
I am officially on low-information diet.
Watch my reading list shrink.

Stand in any public place like a market and do a poll. You’ll find most people are not involved in sports and the majority does not exercise.
These humanly tasks you talk about, most humans don’t make much time for them. Ask around if you don’t believe me.
As to information source having no significance, well select any person you know. Take an cold, emotionless (i.e., realistic) look at what their life is like. You’ll find most of the things they do are utterly insignificant. In fact, if you define humanly tasks as tasks commonly done by humans, you’ll find its most humanly to do things which have no significance.
Anyway, don’t mind. That was just a rant.
Waqas, wow dude you sound like a pro… what have you been upto?
Anyway, you are right that most people don’t exercise, but that was just one of the examples. What about spending quality time with family? Is that something most people don’t do? Even if it is, I don’t want to be one of them.
About information sources, there are many that we are addicted to just for the sake of it, but even if we didn’t do any of that it wouldn’t change anything, and as a matter of fact the extra time can be used in a better way. Of course, I am not telling to live under the rock and not know what’s going on in the world. I still read blogs that are important to me. It’s just that I want to reduce my reading list from 100+ to perhaps 20-30.
