Job loyalty

If I quit my job for a better opportunity, does that mean I am not loyal to my current employer?

I think that’s not correct. As long as I worked for them, I worked my ass off, and gave best results. I rarely took a day off and achieved all my targets. I never made lame excuses or felt lazy. I was on my toes all the time. That’s loyalty.

Now if I have an opportunity knocking at my door, it’s my right to avail it. I never said I’ll work for you forever.

*I am not quitting. Not in near future. It’s just a thought that came in my mind today. You can call it thought of the day.
