Cricket – An unexpected victory

OK, I wasn’t expecting this from yesterday’s game.

I didn’t watch a single ball being bowled on TV mainly because I was busy all day, but at the same time I didn’t find it worth my time.

And now a little analysis. Sri Lankans were looking strong until they lost their sixth wicket. Razzaq did a great job of restricting the score to 250. And look at Pakistan batting. They lost wickets at regular intervals but kept the scoreboard moving at constant rate. And that’s basically how they won. It doesn’t happen very often that entire team plays a role towards winning the match. Usually its one bowler and one batsman who does the job, but this time we saw an exceptional case.

Next Pakistan game – vs New Zealand on October 25. Let’s keep our fingers crossed. Hope they don’t get overconfident.
