Muhammad Ali Jinnah had become the youngest Indian to graduate from a law school, had joined Indian National Congress and was practicing law with the Bombay bar as the only Muslim barrister.
Muhammad Bin Qasim had conquered Sindh almost 10 years before.
Mahatma Gandhi had graduated from law school and was an active participant of Civil Rights movement in South Africa.
Bill Gates had formed Microsoft and had just been awarded a contract from IBM to develop operating system for the upcoming IBM PC. This resulted in evolution of DOS and Windows and Bill Gates became the richest person in the world.
Steve Jobs had established Apple Computers 5 years before, had released Apple I, Apple II, Apple III, and was about to introduce Lisa and Macintosh, and later became an icon in technological world.
I just turned 26 and I haven’t done anything significant in life. What a loser!!

you and a billion others.
cheer up man.. why such a gloomy outlook?
Happy birthday dude!!
hi
This might sound corny but I am an Oprah fan. On her website, there was a list of some achievements, that you can consider your successes or be proud of in your life…following is the list: Some of the following you cant possibly do (like producing a healthy baby), but I am sure some of them you must have already done and should be proud of. Happy Birthday btw:
1. Staying focused
2. Being optimistic, no matter what
3. Raising confident kids
4. Earning more than you ever dreamed
5. Hanging in, regardless
6. Passing on what you know
7. Running for office
8. Finding work you love
9. Telling the truth, always
10. Paying off debts
11. Finding the good in being fired
12. Winning a tough case
13. Celebrating a milestone birthday
14. Exceeding your parents’ expectations
15. Building a house with a Habitat for Humanity team
16. Bouncing back after a failure
17. Delivering a healthy baby
18. Mastering the impossible—Mt. Everest, golf, the fuse box
19. Losing the last ten pounds
20. Meditating every morning
21. Accepting your looks hair and all
22. Learning to forgive your worst enemy
woohoo happy bday mate!
Who can love oprah.
Happy Birthday! I wish the best for you.
Happy birthday, man!
You should do what I do, look at people who are worse off than you are. Look at the crack smokers huddled under a blanket in Sadar. Look at the people who’ve lost everything to gambling. You get the idea. Soon enough, you’ll start feeling a lot better about what you are right now.
At the age of 26 u have proved that nicest ppl r the biggest losers,u can easily hurt them, becoz u r not happy with ur life.
Happy birthday.
Look at people who are 26 and who haven’t achieved anything. Then you’d realise how lucky you are and how many things you have achieved in life.
Happy birthday again
and happy blogging.
Damn yar, i am over 26 and still haven’t done anything
I am sad!!!
Brilliantly apt post. Applies to the majority of the readers who view this site. But be consoled by that some of the happened to be much older than you (like me)
.
Living a happy life is the biggest success in itself. Life maybe a loser but you certainly are not.
cheers.
I feel quite similar but you’ve still got some time to accomplish something man… happy birthday!
just passing by… thought i’d add, that a lot depends on your definition of “significant”. i know a brilliant doctor helping out dozens of patients everyday who doen’t have time for his family. is he “successful”? have you not done anything significant by your standards or the world’s?
wish you “significant” achivements.
happy belated birthday
p.s. a cheering thought – today’s TIME magazine says A achievers end up with ulcers and heart problems. you don’t want that!
You shouldn’t compare yourself to others or you’ll never be happy with what youve achieved. If you feel you havn’t achieved enough, set goals and get to work….. before you know it, you’ll be saying, wow i did that!
Best of luck!
