I just finished reading this book that I mentioned in one of my previous posts.
I never read a personal finance book before and now I am wondering what took me so long.
The book aims to take you step by step to financial independence, the state when you no longer have to worry about money, and can spend weeks and months without even thinking about money. And I feel no hesitation in saying that the plan is solid. If followed well, the nine-step plan has the capability to totally transform your relationship with money. In the long run you will have enough money coming from alternate sources that you will no longer have to work.
The thing about personal finance is that you can never get rich just by reading a book. These books have practical tips and tricks and plans that you must follow. And it takes patience and dedication and motivation to follow those steps. And that’s where most people fail. It’s extremely hard to stay motivated. Specially when you live in a place like Dubai where it is very easy to fall for the temptations and spend money on useless things.
That’s where the book teaches you how to change yourself in such a way that you analyze the worth of it before spending your money on anything. It makes you realize that there are many things we buy just to get temporary satisfaction but in reality there is no satisfaction in those objects. The real satisfaction is obtained when you get the most out of your purchase.
The book has left me mind boggled. I had no idea how far a little discipline in your spendings can take you. How small things can make a big difference. And what it takes to be truly financially independent. And it’s amazingly possible, and within reach of anyone. You don’t have to be making a million dollars to achieve financial independence. A humble start can lead to a great conclusion.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a desire to live a life with no financial worries.

What have you done with your blog? What a mess!
