Best of 2004: Music

Unlike movies, 2004 was great year for music. Almost every major artist and band released new albums. Compiling a list of best songs over the entire year is an impossible task, because I can only list songs that I heard, unlike movies which I can judge based on trailers and reviews and opinions.

I am sure after posting this I will remember many songs I forgot to include here. And of course songs and albums released within last month are not included because I haven’t listened to them enough to like or dislike them (hint: U2).

So without further adieu, here are the songs I liked the most in 2004, in no particular order.

She will be loved – Maroon 5
Float on – Modest Mouse
White trash beautiful _ Everlast
Meant to live – Switchfoot
Miss you – Blink-182
Over and over – Nelly & Tim McGraw
The reason – Hoobastank
Burn – Usher
99 problems – Jay Z
Big yellow taxi – Counting crows
Everything – Alanis Morissette
Woman – Maroon 5
Lady – Lenny Kravitz
