This is perhaps the worst year end I have witnessed in Karachi. On the last day of the year rumours and panic erupted in the middle of the day which resulted in chaos in the streets – not an ideal way to mark the end of the year.
I will always remember 2007 as the year when Karachi was at its worst. May 12, October 18, and the last week of December, these are the days that harmed Karachi more than anything else.
At this point I can only pray that next year we see a peaceful Karachi and faster progress towards prosperity.
