About

This blog is mainly about how to make best use of technology to be more efficient in life.

You can say it’s a cross between tech and work-life balance.

This is the time when we are facing not only information overload, but also technology overload.

When it comes to smartphones, there are a dozen options, each having its own merits and demerits. There are millions of apps available for these smartphones, some are productive and some not-so-productive. TV channels are bursting with mostly noise and occasionally constructive telecast, yet we find ourselves glued to our TVs most of the time. Internet is full of useful information but social media can also be a major time waster and perfect playground for procrastination.

In short there are too many distractions and it is very easy to lose focus in all this oversupply of technology options.

I believe that the only purpose of technology is to serve us, to make our lives better, and easier. If a piece of technology is proving to be distracting, or counter productive, or time waster, then there is something wrong with the way the technology is being applied, and there is lack of knowledge about that technology, or the individual is lacking the focus and discipline to get the best out of technology. Technology is supposed to be at our service. It is not supposed to constrain or limit us in any way. If I am slave to a technology, meaning I am forced to do things in a certain way just because it is required by the technology, then again something is wrong somewhere and it needs to be fixed.

I have a vision of a modern day person, a highly effective person, who makes efficient use of technology to get the most out of his life, both professionally and personally. This means he excels at work because he puts technology to good use, and in personal life he achieves whatever he wants because he is not constrained by the technology. In my opinion a person a successful when he is able to create a perfect balance between work and personal life.

Of course living such life is a journey, and not a destination. One has to constantly optimize, get better, and stay focused.

And this brings me to the point that I have been striving to live my life that way. I cannot say I have achieved perfection or even a working model that others can replicate but at least I can say that I am moving in the right direction.

Like I said it is a journey, so I am keen to share my experiences with you, my readers.

On this blog I will be talking about how I use the technology available to me to perform everyday tasks in an efficient manner, and how I try to constantly optimize my methods.

And this is going to be the topic of my blog. I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I am going to enjoy writing it. And in the end if someone benefits from my experiences then that’s makes it all worth it.

Hope you like it.
