A place to be in Karachi
Ever since I remember, I’ve been looking for a place in Karachi where you can just sit and relax, release some stress, search some soul, ponder a little, recharge your body, and be on your way surviving the city. I tried hotels like PC, Sheraton, coffee joints like Costa, Espresso, and even the beach. I always thought sitting beside the sea would be the most refreshing experience. Well, not really, not in Karachi at least. I love beach, but I can’t stay there for extended durations.
So my quest was on until I found this place.
The 2nd floor, or T2F since we like to abbreviate everything in Karachi, is an amazing place. It’s a coffee joint by definition but it feels like a living room of someone’s home. Really, it feels like home.
Their coffee is not so expensive. Not the cheapest in town, but not that bad either. And their sandwiches are srumptious, the best I’ve ever had at any of the coffee shops.
There have a book shop where you can buy books. They have board games you can play with your friends, or even complete strangers who might become your next best friends.
They run events from time to time in which people who have done something significant come and express themselves. Yesterday an emerging poet recited his poems. It was pretty impressive.
The have free wireless internet. So you can ride the information superhighway at elevated speeds.
I think I’ve finally found a place I can frequent without getting bored of it.
