Ok, here’s a little cricket talk. I watched a cricket match from the comfort of my home after about five years. It was Pakistan vs Australia game, and what a match it was. I wasn’t hoping for Pakistan to win until, they won! That’s true. I mean, come on, you need a miracle to win the game when you drop 5 easy catches and let your opponent score like you are being payed for every run.
And miracle it was, unless the Australians took it too easy and forgot that once in a while Pakis can bat too. It’s not very usual for them to chase a total of 265 after loosing 3 batsmen for 49 runs, or worse, 6 for 170.
In my opinion, man of the match should have been Shahid Afridi. He was the one who took the score to a point from where Razzaq could take over. If it wasn’t for Afridi they could never have chased that total.
I still don’t hope that Pakistan would beat West Indies tomorrow. Not if they drop catches and mess up in the field like they do. You don’t get lucky every day.
Cricket is a bigger passion than food in Pakistan.
